The wellbeing of our young people is at the forefront of all that we do at the Academy. The first point of contact if you have anything that you wish to discuss about your son/daughter is their learning tutor.

Every member of staff has received child protection training as is able to deal with any issues that you may have. (They may need to refer the child to someone else as part of the safeguarding process).

The designated person for child protection is Mrs Herron, the deputy is Mrs Harrison.

We have five Heads of Year at Abraham Guest Academy. They are members of non teaching staff who deal with all pastoral issues related to your son/daughter.

The Heads of Year are: Mrs Benjafield, Miss Riley, Mrs Beale, Mrs Seddon and Miss Rogerson.

Mrs Herron is the Vice Principal responsible for personal development/
behaviour and welfare at Abraham Guest Academy.

Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated at Abraham Guest Academy. If your son/daughter feels that they are being bullied they should speak to their Learning Tutor, Head of Year or any member of the pastoral team.

If your son/daughter wishes to report bullying electronically they can log onto the Academy website to enter details on the SHARP system (School Help Advice Reporting System). This will be picked up by Mrs Herron and dealt with sensitively.
